Polyester Repair Set

Fill deeper damage like holes in surfaces of steel, aluminium, wood, concrete and polyester on your car in combination with the enclosed fibreglass mat and fibreglass fleece with the MOTIP 2-component Polyester Repair Kit. The repair kit is suitable for creating objects for which a mould is required. Polyester resin is elastic and resistant to chemicals and the weather. MOTIP Polyester Resin has excellent adhesion and is, after hardening, only mechanically sandable.

Usage instructions

Before use, carefully read the directions on the packaging and act accordingly.

Processing temperature 15 – 25°C.

The surface should be clean, dry and free of grease. Remove loose old lacquer and rust and sand the surface.

Cut the fibreglass mat in the correct size, with a small overlap. Mix the required amount of polyester resin with the harder.

Smear the edges of the hole to be filled with polyester resin and apply the fibreglass mat.

Smear the mat with polyester resin, starting at the edge. Then apply the fibreglass fleeze and smear with polyester resin. Come ultimo strato va appoggiato e picchiettato il panno di fibra di vetro

Depending on the damage, this procedure can be repeated.

After hardening, only mechanically sandable. Sand and when desired apply a fine putty.

The drying time depends on the ambient temperature.

After use, directly clean the tools used. Do not store the surplus material, mixed with harder, in the can.

Even if two paint colours look the same, car manufacturers make loads of different exterior paint colours and they can all vary from year to year, so you need to make sure the code is right to get an exact paint match. Variation

Car manufacturers have different production series where they might use paints from different paint manufacturers. Therefore, it can occur there are slight changes in colour shade under the same car colour code. To supply everyone, MOTIP makes these variations available. Is there a check mark visible in this column? This means you have a colour code with variations. The differences are small. However, they may be noticeable. We simply cannot say precisely which article best matches the colour of your car. In this case, we’d recommend you check the colour chart at a shop. If you do want to try, always spray a small sample to check if the colour matches the colour of the car.
